Boundaries Bootcamp

Boundaries are more than just saying NO. They are vital part of living a healthy and connected life, yet so many of us fear them—and there is a good reason for that!
Boundaries are widely misunderstood and viewed as barriers to connection when, in reality, they are the foundation of healthy relationships toward both you and others.
They are so important in that violating one’s own boundaries for long time can result in exhaustion, mental fog, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and much more.
If you feel there’s more you could do to set healthier boundaries but you’re unsure where to start, this workshop is for you. You’ll understand exactly what boundaries are, experience how they feel in your body, understand how to communicate them, and walk away empowered and excited for the next time another opportunity to set a boundary arises!
This is for you if:
- You feel tense just thinking about boundaries
- You struggle with people pleasing
- You feel stressed thinking about how people are going to react to you
- You are exhausted, burned out and ready for change
- You are unsure how to recognize, communicate, or hold your boundaries.
- You dream to create deeper intimacy and trust within relationships
- You want to prioritize your well-being
- You want some practical tools that you can implement in your daily life

Poetry Circle
with Alfred

Not a workshop. No heavy lifting. Together we’ll explore these things we call poems – as makers – from the inside out. That’s right. We’re going to write poems. Oh no! Yikes! What if they’re bad? What if they don’t rhyme? What if they make no sense? Fear not! Think of poetry as an open field full of interesting things to discover. Think of how a 3- or 4-year-old manages to find first one and then another fascinating thing. It’s in that spirit that we want to enter this inquiry.
Bring a notebook and pen. Bring your curiosity and sense of adventure. Bring your playfulness and sense of wonder.
Together we’ll experience and explore the pleasures of language, rhythm, texture, tone and nuance. Who knows? Maybe even beauty. You just never know with poetry. And that’s what keeps it interesting.
About Alfred

Migrant cultural worker, writer, painter, and process facilitator, Alfred DePew has taught at the Universities of Vermont and New Hampshire, the Maine College of Art, and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. His writing workshops have been sponsored by The Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance and various community programs throughout the United States and Canada. He lives in Vancouver, BC where he offers spiritual direction, astrological and Akashic Records consultations, energy work, and on-going support for community leaders, clergy, writers, artists, intuitives, and healing arts practitioners.
He is the author of Wild & Woolly: A Journal Keeper’s Handbook; two collections of short fiction; The Melancholy of Departure, winner of the Flannery O’Connor Award, and A Wedding Song for Poorer People, an INDIEFAB Book of the Year finalist; as well as Odalisque, a novella set in Quebec Cityafter World War II. An interactive night of self-discovery, healing structure & inner alignment

Led by Tanja, an Aquarius and undercover fairy, this creative workshop combines tapping into the magic and power within, with that beyond yourself. Aries and spring season kick off another cyclical dance of ‘Earth around the Sun’—the astrological new year. We’ll explore together what feels alive and engage in crafting a vision board to carry the experience with us until Taurus season. We will have time to drop-in with a sharing circle, ignite our evening altar, and witness each other through the wild rawness of our magic wand represented by paper, scissors, glue and the power of a small circle of dedicated spirits who lift each other up. No prior experience required.
Recommended to bring:
Supplies are provided. However, if you like, feel free to bring old magazines to share and cut out pictures and words, your favorite scissors (highly recommended) and a special item from home that you would like to charge on the altar. Comfortable clothes.
Fun fact:
This workshop is held on a Friday, which is also known as Venusday. Venus is the planet of beauty, love, art, and connection.
About Tanja

Tanja is a full-time spiritual seeker and a dedicated student of Hermetic Philosophy and Magical Arts. She was born in Germany and raised on a remote farm before exploring the world after acquiring a background in event and hospitality management. An early midlife crisis brought her to Vancouver in 2008. Here she studied holistic nutrition, opening the door to the vast field of alternative healing practices and spirituality. Tanja’s approach combines her passion for self-discovery and empowerment through curiosity and creativity with the love of bringing people together in a joyful and meaningful way.
Her motto: “Don’t be limited, and don’t let others limit you. Find the innate, truest spark within that you share with all those around you.”

Introduction to Tarot

In this two-hour introduction, Robin will give you a brief history of Tarot, an overview of the structure of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, and catapult you into a lifetime endeavour using this fascinating tool as portal to self knowledge and spiritual awakening. Robin will give you an overview of the Major Arcana—the archetypal section of the deck—and give you a chance to try some simple three-card readings with your classmates. This class is a prerequisite for the Professional Level 1 course.
About Robin

As a young girl, Robin became aware that she could deeply sense other peoples’ inner emotions and energy. Later she became cognizant of her ability to go beyond that and see and communicate with spirit guides and the spirits of those who have passed over.
Over twenty years ago as a teenager, Robin was introduced to Tarot and began the study while doing readings for herself. The foundation of her practice is a personal, self-taught experience that allows her to connect deeply with the cards. Deciding to take the practice further and become a professional reader, she completed the Professional Tarot Certification Level 1 and 2 courses at The Oracle on two separate occasions with different teachers in order to expose herself to different perspectives. Robin also continues other practices such as Astrology (a major symbolic components of the Tarot) and has recently tapped into her ability of animal communication. As part of her desire to support and be of service to the community, Robin is currently a well-established reader at The Oracle in West Vancouver.

Elemental Magic and Altar Building 101
Solstice Edition!

Join us for a special solstice celebration! We will use this astrological event to guide our process of altar building and celebrating the longest day of the year. Diving into the history, folklore, astrology and ritual practices associated with solstice.
Many of us intuitively make altars, but few of us have received guidance and teaching on how to make the most of the altar building experience, and how to use them in a ritual context. Building an altar is a deeply spiritual and ritual experience. In this workshop we will explore the elements (earth, air, fire, water) and how they can be used in a ritual context. From manifestation to cleansing and liberation; the elements provide pillars of support and transformation.
Elemental magic bridges the seen and the unseen world. Using the four directions, the four elements and a series of operations, we are able to set our will in motion and create change in our lives.
You will leave this workshop with a ritual framework you can use again and again. Specific rituals for manifestation and for cleansing. You will feel confident in building your altars and knowing how to use them properly.
Since it is Solstice, we will be diving into the history of Solstice and doing some specific Solstice rituals. Blue Lotus tea will be offered alongside your experience.

Tea Leaf Reading
Explore meaning in “random” shapes

Tea leaf reading or tasseography is the art of identifying symbols and interpreting messages found in the shapes and configurations of tea leaves after brewing and consuming a cup of tea. Though the practice is simple, the results are profound and curious minds have been enchanted by tasseography for centuries.
Linda will open the door to this fascinating divination art as you learn the method from start to finish. Explore and push the boundary of what can be best described as pure intuition. Not only will this sharpen your psychic muscle, it is social, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Dynamic Reconnection Breathwork & Cacao Ceremony

Open your heart and dive deep during this cacao and breathwork ceremony. We will begin ceremony with the powerful medicine of cacao, which opens up our heart space and allows us to connect more deeply within. When we open the heart, we lead with love and trust instead of an overactive mind. The presence of cacao will assist us in getting out of our heads and enable us to drop more deeply into our breathwork experience.
We will be consuming pure ceremonial cacao sourced from a family-owned fruit farm in Guatemala. Each person will be offered a ceremonial dose of 40g, containing approximately the same amount of caffeine as half a cup of coffee. However, many people report that the effects of caffeine are experienced slightly differently with cacao compared to coffee.
Dynamic Reconnection Breathwork allows us to move into altered states of consciousness that reveal the deepest parts of our psyches to connect us to normally out-of-reach realms. Bringing conscious awareness to these deep parts of ourselves has the potential to bring powerful healing to all levels of the body, mind, and spirit.
Natalie begins by opening the circle with brief introductions, followed by a summary of the modality itself. She will then move into the cacao ceremony followed by the breath journey which takes approximately one hour. You will be comfortably laying down and breathing to a carefully selected, powerful and dynamic music compilation. After the breath journey, and once everyone has returned to their normal state of consciousness, Natalie will finish off with a sharing circle to help integrate the experience.
All the answers you seek already exist within. This experience will facilitate bringing what you need to the surface.
About Natalie Medic

Natalie is an intuitive energy healer and breathwork facilitator. She received her initial training in different fields, starting her journey as a personal trainer and soon followed by reiki, yoga, and breathwork. While continuing these practices, she added other modalities, including astrology, crystal therapy, and shamanism. This ultimately led her to a total holistic approach, integrating the physical, mental, emotional, and energetic elements of wellness. Her focus is on helping others achieve a natural state of balance within their mind, body, and spirit. Through the application of energy work and breathwork, and teaching others how to tap into the innate wisdom of their own bodies and the natural world, Natalie has become highly skilled in facilitating sessions that bring you a greater sense of peace, clarity, and a deeper connection to your higher self.

Usui Reiki Level 1 Certification Course
(Canadian Reiki Association recognized)

Learning to channel Reiki is a beautiful gift to yourself and others. Reiki can improve physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. It is centering and grounding and connects us to Universal Source Energy, to ourselves and others. The word Reiki is Japanese—directly translated, it means “spiritual energy”. Similar to prana (Sanskrit) and chi (Chinese), Reiki is the energy that animates the universe. It is benevolent and expansive, and has the power to transform your life and the lives of others making it easier to live the life you always dreamed of.
Through specific attunement processes, a special link between the recipient and Reiki source is created. Combining this link with teachings and practice in class, each Reiki level can be effectively taught in a short amount of time.
Level 1 primarily focuses on supporting physical health for yourself, friends, and family. Becoming attuned to Reiki and working with energy systems improves physical health, which leads to better mental, emotional, and spiritual health. It is a perfect introduction to energy healing and can be a wonderful support to living a happier life.
This Reiki Level 1 class will include:
- Reiki 1 attunements
- Reiki history, philosophy, and ethics
- The five Reiki precepts, the five characteristics of the Reiki system
- Basic philosophical principles of Reiki and its 3 Pillars
- A brief review of your energy systems (chakras, aura, clair senses)
- Breathing techniques to enhance Reiki flow
- Sensing energy and clearing your energy field
- Byosen scanning—scanning the energy body of others
- Standard hand positions and protocol for giving self-treatment and offering Reiki to friends and family
- Other uses for Reiki
About Janet

I am so pleased to be sharing the gift of Reiki with you. I have been a certified Reiki practitioner and Energy healer for many years. I studied Usui Reiki, Kundalini Reiki and graduated from the eight-month Energy Healing for Professional Practice course through the West Coast Reiki Centre, the Psychic Reiki course at Hands on Heart Reiki and am registered with the Canadian Reiki Association. My teachers, and therefore I, have a long Reiki lineage, both purely Japanese and also from a branch of the Western teachings.
I have had the honour of channeling healing energy to people in many places in the world, both in person and by distance healing. Some of my most gratifying work has been working with seniors and volunteering on the Downtown East Side.
My personal journey with Energy began as a child. I have always been very open and sensitive to energy but until my 30s really didn’t understand it and therefore, had no energetic boundaries. Working in education and supporting a parent with Alzheimer’s, I became overwhelmed to the point of collapse. This is when I began exploring energy work. I found that Reiki helped increase my vitality physically, emotionally and spiritually, and it has since connected me to my true purpose. I enjoy working with people individually and in groups. I am now also a psychic and medium, a past life regression facilitator and I love leading psychic development groups. I have learned a lot about energetic boundaries and love helping people understand, establish and maintain them. Having some experience with personal trauma, I approach all interactions from a soul level with a trauma-based perspective and with no judgement, only love. I believe that it is important to witness people and meet them wherever they are on their soul’s journey at that moment. We are all connected, and through compassion and love we can all be raised up.

- Pitfalls along the way.
About Leilani

A member of the Squamish Nation, Leilani has been a practicing shaman, healer, body intuitive and channel for over 30 years. As part of her journey, she spread her wings and mentored with over twenty healers, psychics and shamans for over ten years in Florida. In her desire to be as knowledgeable as possible as a healer, she balanced her learning with a degree in anatomy and physiology, and medical massage therapy. While living in Dayton, Ohio she opened her own practice that grew and thrived until moving back to her home on the Capilano Reserve in 2016. In her desire to fully understand the intergenerational trauma among her people, she gained a degree in Aboriginal Studies and worked in Indigenous foster care and education. She is currently working with sixteen Hereditary Chiefs and Matriarchs with the aim of gaining invaluable oral history and deepening her knowledge of her culture and traditions in order to become a record holder for her people.

Past Life Regression Group Session

Do you have patterns that you just can’t seem to change? Have you ever met someone for the first time and felt that you’ve known them all your life? Do you have emotional responses to people or things that make no sense? These may be the effects of a past life that you just don’t remember.
Your Soul remembers all your lives as one continuum and does not differentiate this body and this life from others. Just as experiences from your childhood can affect you, so too can experiences in your past lives. Positive and negative experiences from previous lifetimes can have physical, emotional and psychological effects in this lifetime. Some of our most powerful relationships in this life can be explained by exploring past lives and it is also believed that we progress through our lives in soul groups.
For example, there may be people or situations in this life that you are attracted to or repelled by but can’t explain. Reoccurring patterns that result from our past lives can often be hard to unravel in this life. The goal of the Soul is to get to a higher vibrational state and there are lessons to learn and healing to be done in this incarnation with the people in these soul groups and the accompanying situations. The resulting new perspective gained from knowledge of your past lives illuminates the people, situations and choices you make in this life to bring greater clarity and ease to your journey.
This group session is one of learning and healing in which you will look at the main events from two of your past lives and have an opportunity to gather information and receive karmic healing. In this safe setting, Janet leads you twice through a purpose-oriented meditation that combines hypnosis in a way that allows you to be fully conscious and in control but allows your body to be relaxed while your mind stays sharp. You will have opportunities to journal and also share your experiences after each regression with the group if you wish.
You will be asked to sign a waiver before beginning this workshop to acknowledge your understanding that the information you receive in the workshop should not replace professional health care.
About Janet

Janet practices, facilitates and teaches in a range of disciplines that include Reiki, past life regression, and Tarot. Her journey began in her childhood when she realized she could sense subtle energies and spirits. By the early 2,000s, she started to consciously refine her gifts and delve into the formal practice of Tarot and psychic development. In 2017, her passion for past life regression was ignited when she received her first private session. This life-changing experience showed her that she didn’t need to repeat patterns already lived in past lives. Inspired, Janet took a lengthy, intensive in-person course under Selena Jones of Energy Balancing Connection that included strictly assessed practicums. She was awarded the Past Life Regression Practitioner certification in 2022. In 2020, Janet began formal training in the Usui school of Reiki, attaining all levels including her teaching certification. Currently, Janet is an established Tarot card reader, Reiki healer and past life regression coach at The Oracle who offers one-on-one sessions in each of these modalities.

Meditative Writing:
An Inner Listening Practice and Novel Approach to Journaling

Meditative Writing is a listening practice. We observe the activity, busy-ness, and diversions of our minds. In this workshop, Alfred will coach you to tune into these thoughts and integrate them more deeply. As one practitioner put it, “It’s like an off-leash park for my ADD.”
This is a practice that cultivates curiosity and alertness, bringing awareness to one’s opinions, impressions, feelings and bodily sensations that arise during a meditative state.
Meditative Writing prioritizes inner process over structure. In other words, it doesn’t assume a goal or end product such as a novel, memoir, or blog. Rather, it teaches us a free-flow means to tap into our intuition and inner dialogue. At the same time, this practice cultivates clarity, awareness and insight, which can support other modes of writing.
Benefits:
- Embodied awareness
- Insight
- Clarity
- Peace of mind
- Detachment
- Intuition
- Light heartedness
- Sense of humour

Sunday Psychic Circle
With Linda, Elle, or Diana
Step into the enchanting realm of the psychic circle, where your gifts of intuition, divination and extra-sensory perception come alive in a magical atmosphere. Led in a safe, supportive atmosphere , this circle is an amazing place to manifest the wonders within you.
The circle unfolds in two parts. In the first part, we embark on a guided meditation that energetically connects you with your higher self and clears blockages. This is a transformative experience that awakens your clair-senses and establishes a profound connection with your higher consciousness and associated gifts that are often overlooked.
After the guided meditation, we come together to check in and share the insights received during our individual experiences. This sharing is done in a supportive and uplifting environment where we celebrate each other’s insights and wisdom.
The next part of the circle is all about fun and practicing your intuitive gifts. For example, we might delve into the world of oracle cards using any one of our many demo decks. Here, you will hone your skills by offering mini readings to fellow participants. No previous experience is required—just come with a curiosity or passion for mysticism and the beyond. Let your intuition flow freely and watch the magic unfold! This is also an excellent opportunity to explore divination for those who wish to become practitioners.
Join a community of like-minded individuals in a safe, non-judgmental space that’s facilitated by experienced practitioners who will share their wisdom, offer guidance, and answer questions about things that are often left unaddressed in the day-to-day, linear-thinking society we live in.
